Our small family group (2 adults and 2 teenagers) had an AMAZING time with Dolomite Active. Our trip in the Dolomites is one of most memorable active family holidays!! 😁 We chose a multisport 7 day tour and experienced so many beautiful places, including Marmolada and Lake Garda. Our tour guides were all very professional, knowledgeable, but also kind, fun and customer oriented. They even arranged a hike instead of a via ferrata on one of the days. We really appreciate the personal service and can't wait to come back!! Thank you Dolomite Active team!!! 😁

Tour Itinerary

Get familiar with your bike and the terrain, and ease into your first day of riding with a scenic loop to Lago di Valagola, a hidden alpine gem within the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.
The gravel route meanders through larch and pine forests, leading to turquoise waters reflecting the Brenta Dolomites. We will pause to take in the stillness of the valley before returning via the historic Campiglio road, which opens to sweeping views of the peaks.
Then we head back into town, where you can enjoy free time to explore Madonna di Campiglio. Treat yourself to some of the best cakes and sweet treats at Arnica Café and Pasticceria, or sit back, relax, and take in the atmosphere with an afternoon Aperitivo!
Duration: 4hrs | Distance: 24 km | Elevation Gain: 832 m

We take a ride through the lush meadows and wooded slopes dotted with malghe, traditional summer mountain farms and dairies that define Trentino’s pastoral heritage.
This circular route passes Malga Montagnoli, Malga Mondifrè, and Malga Vigo, where you’ll stop for a well-earned coffee, and if you like, try some typical mountain treats – it’s hard to go past the strudel!
Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of the Brenta peaks and the Campo Carlo Magno pass, where you will see a breathtaking panorama of the Brenta Dolomites’ towering, rugged limestone spires.
In the afternoon, we visit Birreria 1550, Madonna di Campiglio’s local brewery, for a tasting of craft beers brewed with Dolomite spring water.
Duration: 2hrs40m | Distance: 26.5 km | Elevation Gain: 828 m

Today you will experience one of the more challenging and rewarding rides, full of variation and excitement! We climb into the high alpine zone on the Tour delle Marmotte, an enduro-style ride that rewards effort with unforgettable views. The trail winds above the treeline beneath Pietra Grande and the summit of Vagliana, areas known for frequent marmot sightings and the vast panoramas of the Brenta massif.
Expect a mix of rocky climbs, thrilling descents, and quiet moments where the only sound is the wind.
After returning to Campiglio, experience a dinner at a local restaurant serving mountain specialties. Expect cheeses, meats, hearty soups, potato pancakes, or dumplings, to name a few!
Duration: 4hrs45m | Distance: 30 km | Elevation Gain: 1,183 m

Today’s ride explores Val Brenta, one of the Dolomites’ most dramatic valleys.
You will cycle through dense forest and past glacial streams toward Malga Brenta Bassa, framed by sheer limestone walls that rise to the Bocca di Brenta. The trail reveals waterfalls and gorges carved by centuries of rushing meltwater.
We take time to stop and admire the powerful contrast between lush green landscapes and the pale dolomite cliffs before the fun and flowing return descent.
This is the Dolomites at their wildest – raw, untamed, and unforgettable.
Duration: 5hrs | Distance: 28 km | Elevation Gain: 1,275 m

This ride is a true highlight of the week! Our route climbs steadily through forested slopes and alpine pastures toward Malga Movlina, set on a broad mountain plateau at nearly 1,800 m.
As the trees thin, the landscape opens to one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the entire Brenta range, a sweeping, 360-degree panorama stretching across the Dolomites, Presanella, and Adamello peaks. From here, the rugged cliffs of the Brenta massif dominate the skyline, while green meadows roll out beneath you. After taking in the scenery and perhaps spotting grazing cattle, wildlife, and alpine wildflowers, we descend along the winding forest trails back toward Campiglio.
Round off the day in classic Italian style with an aperitivo at a local bar, as the setting sun paints the Brenta walls in glowing shades of pink and amber.
Duration: 4hrs30m | Distance: 25 km | Elevation Gain: 1,263 m

Follow the celebrated DOGA Trail, the cross-Alpine cycling route linking the Dolomites of Brenta to Lake Garda. It is a long route, but don’t worry, it contains a lot of downhill and a variety of terrain from bike paths to wilderness trails.
Beginning near Stenico, the path winds through alpine meadows and the archaeological plains of Fiavè before reaching the Rio Bianco Waterfall, a striking karst spring that bursts directly from the rock within the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.
As you descend, the landscape transforms: spruce forests give way to chestnut groves and gentle hills. Crossing Passo del Ballino, the air turns warmer until the blue expanse of the spectacular Lake Garda appears ahead – your grand finale!
Return by bus to Madonna di Campiglio.
Enjoy a well-deserved farewell dinner at the hotel restaurant, sharing your adventures on a week of alpine adventure, and unforgettable rides through one of Italy’s most captivating mountain landscapes.
Duration: 8hrs | Distance: 77 km | Elevation Gain: 795 m | Descent: 2,270 m

Amazing!!
What a trip! From day one, everything ran so smoothly that we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. The guides were absolute pros and always thinking ahead so the group got the most out of each day. We had so many “wow” moments where you just have to stop and soak it all in. Great food, welcoming hotels, and a perfect balance of adventure and relax time. If you’re looking for a trip that’s easy, fun, and unforgettable, then I have no problem recommending Dolomites Active Tours.
Excellent organization! Everything was very well organised and we didn't have to think about a thing. We did the multisport (hiking, cycling and ferrata) over 7 days. There was a good mix of activity and downtime and we ate lots of delicious mountain foods. Hotels were very good, especially the smaller family run places. The mountain bikes and via ferrata equipment was all top notch. The guides were very professional. I highly recommend Dolomites Active Tours.
We have hiked a lot this last 3-4 years, but our memories of the Dolomites are the most special. We chose a self guided hiking trip in the Brenta Dolomites. The full nine day tour seemed too long, but we were able to modify our trip to a shorter 7 day version. Thanks to the team at Dolomites Active for helping with all our questions. We were given everything, including detailed route guidance and maps - it made the trip very stress free. As for the huts we stayed in 4 different places. Waking up each day to a different view and every evening we ate delicious local foods, washed down with Italian wine! The shared bedrooms and bathrooms are not so bad... I can only say it is by far better than camping! The Dolomites was so beautiful, we are desperate to go back, we hope it will be soon.
Justin has been so helpful in planning our Dolomites hiking tour, he was always there answering to all my questions, was nice to face time each other and talk about the tour rather than just over emails. I would definitely book future tour with Justin only, extremely the best customer service.
