I’m Lucille, a British-Australian expat, business owner, and co-founder of Dolomites Active Tours. My life has always been shaped by curiosity, movement, and discovery. I’ve lived and worked across four continents, traveled to over 40 countries, and climbed mountains from Africa to South America. Today, my adventures are rooted here in Italy – dividing my time between the sea in La Spezia and the mountains of the Dolomites, where I help guests plan seamless and meaningful travel experiences.
Before life in Italy, I spent more than 20 years in corporate operations and project management, and had regular involvement organizing both small and large-scale international events. That background gave me a deep understanding of planning, logistics, and attention to detail – skills that translate perfectly into creating the kind of worry-free holidays our guests value most.
While I’ve explored much of Italy over the past two decades, the Dolomites hold a special place in my heart. Their mix of dramatic peaks, charming alpine villages, and warm hospitality is unlike anywhere else. Living here part of the year allows me to experience the region across seasons – hiking the trails in summer, visiting mountain lakes in autumn, and embracing the cozy charm of winter. It’s this first-hand familiarity that shapes every itinerary, recommendation, and travel insight I share.
At Dolomites Active Tours, I focus on the finer details that turn good trips into great ones, from handpicked accommodation and seasonal travel tips to local culture, food, and life in the mountains. My goal is simple: to help guests feel confident, informed, and inspired before they even arrive.
When I write about alpine life, culture, where to stay, or the best times to visit, it comes from real experience – living, exploring, and connecting with this region. Whether you’re planning a summer hike, a winter ski escape, or a relaxing alpine retreat, I hope my insights help you experience the Dolomites not as a tourist, but as a welcomed guest.
